By now in 2020 it’s very clear, if it somehow wasn’t previously in 2016, that Trump is prejudiced, antagonistic and discriminatory towards people who don’t look like his ethnic group. People who still support him are either racist themselves or don’t like racism but don’t mind it because they either benefit from it or are not negatively impacted by it.
