I explain in the video why the Chase Sapphire Preferred credit card is one of the ultimate credit cards to get insanely great deals on hotels and all-inclusive resorts and how to be elite with your money.
This quarter you can obtain 7% cash back on Starbucks or any other restaurant by paying with your PayPal account linked to your Chase Freedom Flex credit card:
Note that you are only getting 7% cash back and not 8% (3% on Restaurants + 5% on PayPal) because you earn 1% on all purchases, an additional 2% on restaurants and an additional 4% on the rotating categories, which comes out to 7% when using PayPal at restaurants. Read the fine print. Still better than getting only 3% or 5% cash back, and way better than paying full price.

For the record, I understand the credit card fee is not being paid directly to me when I say I’m swiping the fee for myself but I’m definitely effectively receiving the benefit, albeit indirectly. Anyone who wants to argue otherwise can hit me up and we can go to finance class.
